Basis The university welcomes and supports the co-operation of its institutes and researchers with the private sector in Switzerland and abroad. There are different forms of co-operating, e.g. with collaborative research agreements, as contract research, by calling in of university employees as consultants, just to mention a few. Such collaborations are of benefit to both parties. Industry partners get access to top scientists for joint research projects or consulting services. Moreover, personal contacts with young scientists are of interest for hiring new personnel. In its function as technology transfer office Unitectra supports the employees of the university in their dealings with the private sector. Unitectra manages the university's intellectual property and catalyzes the commercialization process for the benefit of the public. |
