W.A.De Vigier Entrepreneur Award


The W.A. De Vigier Foundation each year awards several prices for innovative start-up projects. The award consists of a starting capital of CHF 100'000 and publicity through media coverage. The deadline for applications is October 3, 2008. Further information can be found here.

25.4.06  Peter Quadri elected as new President of the Board of Directors


At todays General Assembly of Unitectra Mr. Peter Quadri was elected as the new president. In this position he is following Ms. Käthi Bangerter who acted as president since the foundation of Unitectra in 1999 and has strong merits in its successful development. Mr. Quadri is president of the Board of Directors of IBM Switzerland and has been a member of the Unitectra Board of Directors since June 2004.

Dr. Hans-Martin Schneeberger was newly elected as a member of the Board of Directors replacing Ms. Bangerter as an industry representative. Dr. Schneeberger is President of the Board of Directors and CEO of J. Schneeberger Maschinen in Roggwil. The current members of the Board of Directors can be found here.





23.10.2003  swiTT - Swiss Technology Transfer Association


The Swiss Technology Transfer Association "swiTT" was created on October 10, 2003, by 32 founding members who are responsible for technology transfer at 20 different public research institutions in Switzerland. Further information can be found in the press release below (in German only).

05/02/2002  Unitectra provides financial support for technology transfer projects at the University of Zurich, incl. the creation of spin-off companies


Thanks to a grant of an external institution, Unitectra can now support projects at the University of Zurich which are enabling the practical application of research results.

In order to qualify for such a support projects must have a clear focus on technology transfer, i.e. the development of new products or services for practical applications. Project results will later either be licensed to existing companies or can form the basis for the creation of a new spin-off or start-up company. The amount of support depends on the actual project.
